In our Advanced Materials division, we are a globally prominent manufacturer of high-quality thermoplastic materials in the form of semi-finished products and finished parts. Our engineering plastics and composites more high-end to metals and other materials in terms of their performance profile and are used in a variety of applications, primarily in the capital goods industry.

 

About the role?

You will enable profitable growth with strategic markets and global OEMs for critical path applications and will be responsible for Engineering Shapes (ES) capabilities and positioning. In line with our global Shapes strategy, which includes 10 manufacturing sites across EMEA, US and Asia. You will drive the strategic direction, profitability and revenue growth as well as the sustainability of the portfolio.  In this role you will work with R&D, Sales to ensure the portfolio meets market and industry specific requirements in line with our KAITEKI philosophy.

 

Your responsibilities?

  • Responsible for the global ES strategy and supporting the regional mid-term plan for sales development and growth, gross profit, key investment and technology projects, current and future technology developments, raw material strategy and M&A processes
  • Initiate specific commercial growth developments and improve regional product line results, focusing on optimise raw material  and conversion costs
  • Manage capabilities portfolio management and expansion, identifying enhanced value propositions, setting price thresholds and margin management guidelines
  • Responsible for global capacity utilisation and capacity expansion plans across all regions and optimisation efforts
  • Focus on balancing global capabilities arccos all sites and aligning new capex initiatives and driving key global technnology nad efficiencs improvment programmes
  • Ensure strong sustainability and recycling initiatives in line with our global vision
  • Maintain strategic raw material relationships to grow and develop business (establish market and business development plans with strategic raw material suppliers)

 

Your qualifications?

  • Degree in engineering or mechanics or similar related field
  • Several years' experience of working in cross-functional teams, with a maximum combination of roles, which may include operations and engineering, technology/R&D and supply chain
  • Optimistic and highly effective influencer and communicator with a hands-on, pragmatic way of working
  • Strong ability to balance multiple key projects simultaneously and deliver them to a successful conclusion in a timely manner
  • Strategic thinker with experience of defining, implementing and managing product portfolio and management strategies in a global organisation
  • Good understanding of engineering plastics, machining, assembly and welding
  • Knowledge of strategic markets (particularly Semicon and Medical) and critical path applications in these markets
  • Strong change management experience and ability to support and manage teams through change transformation
